Functional Anatomy, Yoga & Movement

How the BODY functions so you can adapt to anyone in any pose or movement.

How the BODY functions so you can adapt anyone in any pose or movement. Your BODY is a vessel that we live in daily. Your BODY takes in information from the senses and sends it to the brain where it is interrupted. Your state of being past, present, and future decides if there will be a Response or a Reaction. Once a state is chosen you will have a WHOLE BODY response.

You cannot isolate the response/reaction it impacts your entire BEING from your muscles to your liver, to your pupils, and your rectum. I kid you not. You BECOME that reaction and relive it over and over again.

LEARN to EDUCATE your CLASS while TEACHING a Therapeutic system to encourage exploration, embodiment, calmness, and a capacity to be with SELF and Life as it unfolds.

You can incorporate this method into almost all classes. A little shift in your sequencing and slowing down alone could change the whole dynamic of the class and offer more sustainable changes.

In This TRAINING you will learn to PRACTICE and TEACH Yoga as a healing modality by:

guiding people back to their BODY through FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY and FUNCTIONAL CUEING

You must understand how the body works on the simplest level via Range of motion, interception (internal Cues), and proprioception (external cues) to support nervous system regulation and physical and mental imbalances.

  1. we will cover:

    1. The cardiovascular, digestive, and endocrine systems simply, and how they are impacted by STRESS and how Yoga can support them.

  1. Cueing according to the SENSATION and not the POSE

    1. Learning the PURPOSE of Traditional POSES. Once you understand the anatomy and biomechanical purpose you can adapt any pose for any body. This is the KEY in allowing EVERYbody to experience the pose according to their shape, size, limitation, flexibility, emotional state

  2. Neuroscience of YOGA: how to teach and practice according to neuroscience so the practices CULTIVATE deep last change.

  3. Understanding the true meaning of EMBODIMENT and how to sequence a class and use language to encourage it.

  4. Understanding what SOMATIC means and beginning to use it in classes and private sessions

  5. Studying the Poly Vagal Theory, Nervous system regulation, and how to incorporate it into your classes.

  6. Sequencing according to Neuroscience. How can the order of your class simply in form someone nervous system and guide them toward a more clam and down regulated state while still challenging their physical and emotional level if needed.
